Standing Desk: Movement

The linear actuators arrived from Amazon this morning….opened then put aside for the evening….

Mounted to some wood blocks at the back in order to get the starting/resting height right. Upper limit will be controlled by the actuators themselves – so 14″ of travel (slides in legs can accommodate 20″).

To make it work, hooked up to car battery to give the motors the 12 volts they need to work…but plan on using PC power supply’s 12 volt circuit to power and wireless winch remote to switch until I can hook up Arduino/RPi and relay board to enable activation by Google (hopefully this weekend). Very pleased with how smooth it operates. Takes about 45 seconds for full travel so not the fastest…but I’m happy with the results.
